La noche del viernes tuvo lugar en Los Angeles la primera gran cita pornográfica del año; se celebraba la decimocuarta ceremonia de entrega de los XBIZ Awards (uno de los tres principales premios de la industria a nivel internacional), certamen que nuevamente ha resultado ser de lo más desafortunado para la representación española que ha visto como sus expectativas se reducían a un único galardón: el que se va para Erika Lust y sus XConfessions como sitio del año para mujeres.
Mala suerte pues para Pablo Ferrari y Carolina Abril que cayeron derrotados ante el británico Danny D y la australiana Angela White en las categorías a mejores actores extranjeros (el mérito es haber estado allí, chicos, no lo olvidéis) y para nuestros exponentes más consagrados Nacho Vidal, Ramón Nomar y Toni Ribas que tampoco tuvieron fortuna en ninguna de las numerosas categorías a las que aspiraban.
A grosso modo los grandes triunfadores de la noche fueron Ryan Driller y Dani Daniels que se proclamaron performers del año (mucho ojo con esta última que las quinielas la colocan también como vencedora de los AVN), Axel Aces y Abella Danger (novatos del año), Axel Braun (que arrasó con todo lo relacionado con parodias) y el film ‘Wanted‘ de Stormy Daniels que acumuló hasta cinco galardones relacionados con porno argumental: mejor película, director del año, mejor actor (para Steven St. Croix), mejor dirección de arte y mejor música.
