La noche del pasado jueves tuvo lugar en el Hotel Westin Bonaventure de Los Angeles la decimoquinta ceremonia de entrega de los XBIZ Awards (uno de los tres principales premios de la industria a nivel internacional), en la que nuevamente la suerte no acompañó a nuestros representantes españoles, siendo Toni Ribas el único beneficiado por su participación en la escena «What’s Next» de la productora New Sensations (junto a Riley Reid y Jon Jon).
Así pues la italiana Valentina Nappi le arrebataba a Alexa Tomas y a Nekane Sweet la posibilidad de convertirse en la mejor actriz extranjera del año, mientras que el canadiense Jessy Jones le hacía lo propio a Nacho Vidal, el cual tampoco tuvo fortuna en ninguna de las otras siete categorías a las que aspiraba. Por segundo año consecutivo el director extranjero del año resultó ser el mítico Rocco Siffredi y junto al estudio francés Marc Dorcel acabaron con todas las opciones de Bobby Perú y su muy recomendable film ‘Outland: Beyond the Far West‘.
En lo que respecta a los grandes triunfadores de la noche, Katrina Jade y Xander Corvus se coronaron performers del año mientras que Cherie Deville se alzó nueva MILF del año. Axel Braun volvió a arrasar en todas las categorías reservadas al género de parodia, Greg Lansky se llevó la friolera de seis galardones (entre premios a título personal y por sus sellos Vixen, Tushy y Blacked) y el film ‘The Preacher’s Daughter‘ de Brad Armstrong acumulaba otros seis galardones relacionados con porno argumental: mejor película, director del año, mejor actriz (para Mia Malkova), mejor actor (para Xander Corvus) mejor fotografía y mejor música.
