La noche del pasado jueves tuvo lugar en el Hotel JW Marriott de Los Angeles la decimosexta ceremonia de entrega de los XBIZ Awards (ya sabéis, uno de los tres principales premios de la industria porno americana) donde, para variar, la suerte no acompañó a nuestros representantes españoles. Rebuscando en el palmarés solo hemos acertado a encontrar menciones para Toni Ribas en su vertiente como director/productor, premiado en las categorías de mejor escena de sexo gonzo y mejor escena de sexo en producción tabú, y para Nacho Vidal por su película ‘Nacho Loves Canela Skin‘ que se lleva el galardón al lanzamiento del año en temática latina.
En lo que respecta a nuestras expectativas en la categoría de actriz extranjera del año, la británica Stella Cox acabó con las aspiraciones de Alexa Tomas, Apolonia Lapiedra y Nekane Sweet mientras que Steve Holmes hizo lo propio en su equivalente masculina. Por su parte, el también británico Dick Bush se alzó como director extranjero del año cerrándole las puertas a Pablo Ferrari y Xavi Rocka.
Otros grandes triunfadores de la noche fueron Romi Rain y Small Hands, que se coronaron performers del año, mientras que Honey Gold y Lucas Frost se alzaron como los novatos revelación. El premio a la mejor MILF fue para Brandi Love y los directores del año fueron Greg Lansky (que por supuesto acumuló otros tantos premios por sus sellos Vixen, Tushy y Blacked) y Bree Mills por partida doble. Hablando de esta última, mención especial para su film ‘Half His Age: A Teenage Tragedy‘ que acumuló la friolera de seis galardones, incluyendo el de película argumental del año, mejor edición, mejor cinematografía, mejor actor (Charles Dera), mejor actriz secundaria (Kristen Scott) y mejor actor secundario (Small Hands).
